Transactions

When a customer pays a virtual account, NeratPay records a transaction once for the provider reference and notifies you by webhook.

Amounts

• amount — naira received (gross)
• fee — collection fee in naira
• Account balance stays the gross amount. Withdrawable balance is after the fee and the 24-hour settlement hold.

Idempotency on your side

Use transaction.reference as your idempotency key. A repeated webhook is a retry, not a second payment. Prefer customerReference (the id you sent when creating the account) over email to map the payer.
